Should Bandaids Have Wires?

We do have the three BEST kids. I always enjoy spending time with them, but have had some great times recently. Alisa suggested some daddy dates a while ago. We have started doing this on Monday nights. We do FHE on Sunday, so that each Monday, I can take one of the kids somewhere for a daddy date. We have done some fun things already: going to the park, going to dinner, and trying to go to the library for story time (the library was closed when we got there!). Yesterday, Avery and I went to the movies. Have no need to fear, Underdog is here! Underdog was a fun movie. We went at 5 pm and were the only ones in the theater. It was our own private showing. We had a great time. Kyler was a little upset that he didn't get to go, so I might have to take him sometime soon. Who knows what the future will hold. The kids get to pick what they want to do. The best part has been seeing how excited the kids are when we go. Their own time with Dad has been fun for them too!

Alisa was sick today, so I took Zadyn to physical therapy. I have not been to PT with her in a long time. She did some puzzles, pushed the baby down the slide (hopefully she doesn't learn that it is okay to push others down the slide!), and got to swing. Then they broke out the electrical stimulus unit. Don't worry, it is only a 9 volt battery! Well, after having discussed the fine art of putting a 9 volt battery on your tongue, they hooked her up and made her arm "tingle". She didn't like when they put the patches on. I tried to tell her it was a bandaid, but maybe the wire coming out of it made that hard to believe. But after she was over the initial drama of someone touching her arm, she stopped crying and didn't mind the "tingling". They are looking at a unit for us to take home on a trial to see if it does any good. If it proves successful, we will petition the insurance to actually buy one for her. Then we will just have to keep her from playing Dr. Hyde and putting it on her brothers - waaahaha. They are also looking into a unit that she can wear to bed at night. It has such a low electrical pulse, that this one won't even tingle, but it will help build some muscle fiber so that we have something to strenthen when we do PT. The new focus is getting her to lift her arm up, out away from her body. She can't do this now and there isn't much there to even work with, so hopefully the electrical stimulus can help. Just look out if you come to visit and Zadyn puts bandaids on you with wires and you realize the wires go to the electrical outlet!!

I think that is a great idea, your "daddy/kid" dates. Zadyn is doing so well at therapy, for all she is going through, I am glad she has such loving and supportive parents. We sure had fun the week we spent with you, thanks for a wonderful time.

I don't know if you have the BEST kids but they are pretty dang cute. I like reading about Zady's updates it is nice to actually know what she is going through.
