Frosted Grass, Play Group, Friday and Bedroom Makeovers

Grant is in Seattle this week at a training workshop to study for the PIMP, I mean PMP test that he is taking next week. The kids are constantly asking when dad will be home. Friday cannot come soon enough for them! I am jealous of all the cool places he gets to go and restaurants he gets to eat at. I think tonight he was going to a Japanese Steak House. I will have chicken nuggets and mashed potatoes. I know who's missing out!

We woke to a HEAVY frost this morning and the boys spent a good 20 minutes arguing about whether or not you could EAT frosted grass. I guess the heavy dew made the grass look good enough to eat? I never know what to make of their conversations! The mountain peaks are nice and white also. I guess the fire season is over, thanks to all the rain this past week and the cool temperatures. That is what we really needed though. Good thing we got the garage cleaned out a couple weeks ago, Grant hasn't had to scrape a window yet! (Yes, he is spoiled.)

We had play group at the local park today. Half of the crew didn't make it because of the cool weather, but the boys still had a good time. Zadyn just enjoyed swinging with her little friend Dravyn. She wasn't too sure about the slides today since they still were "frosted", too. The boys thought they were extra fun, due to the fact that they had their slicky pants on. Double the slipperiness, I guess.

This past weekend we moved Kyler into Zadyn's room. Avery gets his own room since he insists on staying up late and keeping Kyler up with his tantalizing conversations. So, we took the bunk beds apart and put one half in Zadyn's room. She still is using her twin bed that is lower to the ground, it's easier for her to get up on. We took all the princess and Care Bear wall decorations off of Kyler's side of the room and added some "Cars" posters and wall hangings. I made a curtain panel for each of them, one "Cars" and the other Disney Princess. They absolutely love them. Avery is already asking when Zadyn can move into his room. I think he just wants a room makeover. I got his new dresser painted and decorated with his room's sports theme. I guess that was what he needed since he hasn't really complained to much about having his own room. Plus, when the other kids go to bed and he is up reading, he's pretty happy about his own room then.

Kyler begins "Speech School" (as he calls it) tomorrow. His teacher is the same one from last year, he really liked her and I really like her, too. She knows her stuff. He is excited and nervous, but ready to go. He will have to blog about it tomorrow, if I remember to help him.

This is an off week for therapy. We went last Thursday and had a pretty good session. Zadyn is doing a TON better at letting the therapist work with her. She will sit in her lap and let her move her arm around. Big improvement for Zadyn. We are still working on getting an electrical stimulus unit for her to wear at night. They are SO pricey, but we are still looking. She threw away her weighted bracelet (I guess she was done) so I have to make her a new one this week. She was doing so well with it, but I guess she figured she didn't need it after all. Oh well, I needed a new project for the week!

Wow, snow on the mountains, that indeed is a welcome sight! We covered the garden last night, too. It's fun to move things around, I am getting the bug to do so, too, but don't have a lot of room or options. Getting my fall and Halloween decorations out, though...always do when there is frost on the pumpkins!

Didn't you know that frosted grass is a delicacy in Sweden? But be careful not to eat the yellow frost
