World's Best Dad

Well, I am catching up from lost time. Zadyn and I had a daddy date on Monday, the 27th, and I still haven't written about it. We did what Zadyn loves best. We went to the park and let her swing. With a lot of persuasion, I got her off the swing and actually got her to go down the slide and just run around. We had a lot of fun. Of course, before we left we went back to the swings. She thought it was great when I ran under her while she was swinging. Zadyn is definitely a daddy's girl. She wouldn't care what we did as long as she gets all of daddy's attention and her brothers are no where to be found!

Well, since then life has been busy. Our impromptu trip to Jerome to see everyone was great. Surprising Dad at the door was priceless. It was at that point, I knew we had made the right decision to visit for the weekend. I really enjoyed spending time with my dad. I haven't done that in some time. When I was at home and could, I was off hanging out with friends. Now I live a long ways away, the opportunities are few, and when I have the chance, there are lots of things happening. It is interesting how your perspective changes. I have reflected on time I used to spend with my dad fishing, going for a ride, or working on mobile homes. At the time I didn't always think it was great, but now that I look back, I am sure glad I had that opportunity. I miss it. I am glad that I had the chance to work along side dad this past weekend. My dad is my hero. I am thankful that he has taught me to work, to serve others, and to follow the Savior. On Sunday he bore his testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith and of the Church. It strengthened my testimony to hear that. Thank you Dad. You are the world's best dad!

The title of your entry could very well be describing you. You are a great Dad and I love the fact that you spend one on one with your kids. How special they all must feel. I know that your visit to George made a big difference in his recovery. we loved visiting with you for this past weekend.
