Tonight we had Grant's company Christmas Party at the Hilton Garden Inn in Missoula. They had a great dinner (I had chicken, mashed potatoes, fresh green beans), yummy dessert (a chocolate bomb with vanilla custard inside), and lots of door prizes. The first prizes were bags of Hickory Farms Melt Away Mints to the people who had pieces of tape on the bottom of their chairs. Mine was one of those! Then, throughout the night, they drew names for various prizes. They had flat screen computer monitors, thumb drives, mini-keyboards, an I-Pod Nano, a Zune and an I-Pod Touch. Grant's name was pulled for a bag of mints (yes we got two bags of mints! -- they will come in handy during the pregnancy I think). After dessert was served, we all played a rousing game of BINGO to see who would win the Zune and the I-Pod Touch. The I-Pod Touch was the last prize of the night and in order to win it, you had to make an X on your BINGO card. As the game started, I thought there was no way either Grant or I were going to win anything. Then, the game kept going and my X was filling in. I had only one square to go (the middle one which was "star"). Low and behold, the next word they called, STAR! I jumped up and yelled BINGO and ................... So did someone else! They had to "verify" our cards and fortunately (for me anyway) the other girl had misplaced a marker or something and had something covered that wasn't called.
So, I am now the proud (very proud) owner of an 8 GB I-Pod Touch! I don't really even know all the things it can do, but I guess I will be able to surf the net in the bathroom, or listen to music in the mountainous regions of our backyard. Plus, it has a calendar and other things that I will come to know and love. I think I can watch movies and it could probably bake a cake for me, but I will have to try that one out to be really sure! I'm really excited. Grant thinks that he is off the hook for Christmas gifts for me, since he intended on getting me a Sansa MP3 player. Little does he know, he's so far from off the hook. Now I need a carrying case, some I-Tunes, really cool headphones, and a LOT of other "extras" that I will realize I need as I get to know my new toy. He will soon learn that I-Touch, really translates to You-Touch, You-Die. It is MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats! You seem to be lucky when it comes to winning things. I have no idea what you won, it sounds way too technical for me, but it sounds great.
