Grant had a night out with Kyler last night, so they (I) decided that they could slip a little trip into our local IGA store here in Florence as part of their night. Kyler didn't think that was fun until I brought up a scavenger hunt. They he was all for it. Here are the clues, see if you can figure out what was on their list:
1. Start on the aisle with bread and honey.
What animal shape does the honey come in?
What fruit rhymes with that animal?
Find that canned fruit and add it to your cart.
2. Now find the aisle with the yummy veggies.
Look for the carrots.
Go find 2 bottles of what you like to dip the carrots in
and 2 bottles of what Avery likes to dip carrots in. Add those to your cart.
3. Next, find the lunchables in the refrigerated section.
Look inside and think about what is crunchy in there.
Now find the boxes of these in the store and buy 4.
You and dad can pick which 4 you want to put in your cart.
4. Dad has a grill outside that he uses to do this to hamburgers.
The same name is a type of dipping sauce for Avery's chicken nuggets.
Find this sauce and put 2 in your cart.
5. Now you're all done and it's time for a treat!
Find the aisle with the candy and pick something to eat!
How smart were you? Did you figure it all out? Kyler and Dad DID come home with all the things on their list, so they must have figured out the clues. Kyler's answer for #4, was New Mexico Green (thanks Dale....).
Now, I'm sure Avery will want to do the same thing for his day out next week, good thing I have a few coupons that need used at Super One.

What a fun thing to do. I love scavenger hunts, remember we did them for almost everything, birthdays, holidays, church parties, etc. Great time for Kyler, not only time with Dad but reinforce school stuff, too. Go New Mexico Green!!!!
so you used your husband and your son to do your grocery shopping for you, but making it look like fun? JK sounded fun
