Well Alisa has been so busy blogging about our trip that she hasn't mentioned much about her birthday. We didn't do much on the trip other than eat at Olive Garden to celebrate, but when we got home, I took the kids shopping. They thought it was great to pick out something for Mom. I had to help Zadyn, but the boys found their own things. All the kids picked out their own wrapping paper and bows and then wrapped it themselves when they got home. The kids got things that Mom could pamper herself with and allow her to relax. Avery just had to get puzzles for Mom. He picked some with boats on them because they were like the river boat in St. Louis. Kyler picked rubber stamps. He insisted he had to get two, so that led to Avery and Zadyn both getting two of their presents also. Zadyn got smelly lotion from Bath and Body Works. I think she wears more of it than Alisa!
For the birthday party, we celebrated one week late and had our friends, Lance and Nina, over for a hot dog roast, smores, and cake. Yes, this celebration may have been what led to the sugar levels! We had a lot of fun celebrating our wonderful mom, wife, and friend. She really is great and deserves a little pampering.

Thanks for posting this about Alisa, Grant...she is wonderful and glad you and the kids pampered her. I knew that she was choosing Olive Garden and she probably has already read the book we gave her when you guys were here.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Glad the kids got to pamper mommy
