Avery turned 7 today. He had a fun day. We went to Pizza Hut for lunch to enjoy the lunch buffet. Then, when Dad got home, we opened presents. He got the movie Underdog, the game Battleship, a Speed Racer Car set, 2 transformers and a new bike.
I put the transformers in a box from Zadyn that had doll furniture in it. Avery was NOT impressed with the thought that he might actually be getting doll furniture. He was VERY relieved to open it and see the transformers inside. He later told me that was a pretty good joke.
I made him a cake with the Autobot and Decepticon logos on it. He thought it was pretty cool. He is having a party on Friday with his friends from church. They will be playing video games, eating pizza, chips and soda, and having another transformer cake. He is very excited about his party.
He got calls from Grandma Clark (who let him pick out a set of transformers for his birthday when they stayed with her last month -- bringing his transformer count to 4 now) and from Bailey and Braden, who sang him a lovely rendition of "Happy Birthday". He thought he was pretty cool!!!
