Zadyn's PT appointment

Zadyn had another therapy appointment today and she did well. She is learning to lift her arm away from her body at the shoulder. She has to act like a zombie, with both arms out in front of her. She can do this really well. The boys like to help her, they make good zombies, too. Then, she has to be an airplane with both hands out and a bird with both arms out, flapping them. She doesn't like to do airplane or bird as much as zombie, because she struggles with getting her arm very high in that direction. Following these activities, she goes around the family, bonking everyone on the head with her left hand. She has to reach it up to get it on our heads and is getting pretty good at it (I think she just likes inflicting bodily pain!). Next month, she is getting an electrical stimulus unit to wear at night. A family that is not using theirs right now, is willing to let us borrow it for a while, probably 6 months or so. We will see how well it works and if we need one, we can submit all the information and usage results to the insurance.

This a picture I took of her today in her new winter hat. It's been so cold here and I had to stop at the store and get her a fleece hat. Her old one from last year was WAY too small. It's so cute, it's shaped as a princess crown with Disney Princesses on the front. She has been wearing it all day.

Sounds like she is doing very well. Those are fun activities and I can just see her doing them all and bonking her brothers with pleasure. We really take for granted the things that she may struggle with, but she is a fast learner. Way cool hat! She looks so cute with it on, I can see why she doesn't want to take it off. Thanks for keeping us updated.

She is truly a little princess! Her new hat is very cute. I can only imagine how cold it is there. Thank you for posting Zadyn's progress for us to read. I am so thankful that she is doing well. You and Grant are wonderful parents and I am always impressed with what you are doing.
